Achieve Your Dream Smile with Porcelain Veneers
If you’re considering revamping your smile, porcelain veneers may be an option. At Brooklyn Heights Dental, our cosmetic dentistry experts look forward to creating a treatment plan aligned with your goals and expectations.
HOW DO VENEERS WORK?
Porcelain veneers are one of the treatments that offer the most dramatic transformations in the cosmetic dentistry market, allowing our patients to improve their smiles and self-confidence.
Also called dental veneers or dental porcelain laminates, porcelain veneers are tiny, tooth-shaped shells custom-fabricated from translucent porcelain. We’ll bond these shells to the front surface of a tooth with ultra-durable dental-grade cement. In just two office visits, you can have the picture-perfect smile of your dreams.
In many cases, porcelain veneers also help crooked teeth appear straighter. This allows you to achieve a stunning smile without the need for braces or other orthodontic treatments.
Benefits of Porcelain Veneers
Our dental veneers offer an exceptional array of benefits to patients, including:
- Complete concealment of cosmetic imperfections
- Transform your smile in just two office visits
- Strengthen and improve the functionality of your smile
- Custom-made veneers showcase natural-looking results
- Stain resistant, durable, and long-lasting
- No traditional orthodontic treatment required
- Compatible with many other dental treatments
At Brooklyn Heights Dental, Dr. Stanislaus and our dedicated team of cosmetic dentistry experts provide porcelain veneers that resist staining better than resin veneers. They also mimic the light reflecting properties of your natural teeth, ensuring they blend flawlessly with your smile.
Pro-Tip
How do I take care of my porcelain veneers?
Porcelain veneers can be maintained with daily brushing and flossing, just like your natural teeth. No special tools or cleaning solutions are necessary to keep them clean. As long as you keep up with your oral care at home and visit us for regular checkups, your veneers should last for several years.
Traditional Porcelain Veneers
At your first consultation visit, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your condition as we prepare your treatment plan for your new smile.
During the second visit, typically scheduled for the following week, Dr. Stanislaus will remove your temporary veneer and clean your teeth. He’ll then apply a specialized dental cement, attach the veneers, and complete the process by shining a curing lamp on your teeth.
Traditional porcelain veneers are permanently placed for a brilliant and lasting smile in only two office visits. With proper maintenance, this highly personalized treatment can last up to 15 years.
Lumineers® Porcelain Veneers
An added benefit of our permanent Lumineers porcelain veneers is that you won’t need to wear a temporary appliance while waiting for the new ones, and they can easily be removed by Dr. Stanislaus if needed or requested.
Similar to traditional veneers, enhancing your smile with Lumineers typically takes just two visits to our Brooklyn Heights Dental office. During the first visit, Dr. Stanislaus will take a comprehensive mold of your smile which is then sent to the Lumineers laboratory. There, your mold will be used to fabricate your customized Lumineers.
Once your Lumineers are ready, typically in one week, you’ll return to our office to have your veneers placed. Dr. Stanislaus will evaluate the overall fitment, as well as ensure the force of your bite has not been affected.
Are You a Candidate for Veneers?
Porcelain veneers can help correct many types of cosmetic imperfections, creating the appearance of a nearly perfect smile.
There are several criteria that will make a patient an ideal candidate for porcelain veneers, including:
- Fully developed mouth and tooth structures
- Free from dental health issues that could compromise the porcelain veneers
- Realistic treatment goals and expectations
- Knowledge of all available treatment options
- A strong desire for a dramatic enhancement in the overall appearance of their smile
